This is James Magnaye

I'm James Magnaye, a Laguna based filmmaker and photographer in the Philippines. Ever since I'm a kid, I'm fascinated by the realm of arts. I continued pursuing my passion despite low support from my own family. Today, I use my passion to educate and advocate the social realities of my country.

I advocate film as a medium to reveal the social realities of my nation

Art activism has been rampant since the modernist era. Pablo Picasso, Surrealist Artists, Dada Artists, and many others deviate from the norms by making art in hopes of expressing the horrors of society during World War I and World War II.

As the President of my organization, I always try to invite renowned activist filmmakers to share their struggles and motivation of hope to educate future artists of our nation.
